For the adventurous, Tanzania offers many amazing trekking and mountain climbing opportunities.
Mount Kilimanjaro

Mount Kilimanjaro is certainly the most famous of the Tanzanian climbs. It is one of the Seven Summits (the highest points on each continent) and is a destination for adventures from around the world.

A climb up Kilimanjaro is a challenge and more often than not a technical climb and is an attainable goal for any relatively fit trekker. Kilimanjaro is far from the only interesting or challenging climb in the country.

Mount Meru

Mount Meru, the second highest peak in Tanzania, is a challenging trek, often considered to be a more difficult climb than its more famous neighbor.

Usambara Mountains

The Usambara Mountains further east offer a variety of treks, as do the crater highlands in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.
