Uganda

Uganda takes its name from the Buganda Kingdom which encompasses a portion of the country including the capital city Kampala. The country is located on the East African plateau and lies approximately almost completely on the Nile Basin.

It has a population of 30 Million people. Ugandan is also known as the Pearl of Africa.

Size of Country: Uganda has a surface area of 241,139Km² and is divided into 80 districts.

Climate: The country has a tropical climate generally rainy with two dry seasons. The terrain is mostly plateau with a rim of mountains.

Currency: Ugandan Shilling (UGX)

Language: The most predominant language spoken in Uganda among the natives is Luganda however English is their official language.
